Brienna Naughton, MPH
Teaching and Learning Officer
Brienna Naughton joined Partners In Health in Rwanda in 2013, working in grant management, research and administration, and has been on the UGHE project planning team since 2014. She serves as the Teaching and Learning Officer at UGHE, supporting the strategic development of the university and its curriculum.
Ms. Naughton holds a BS in Biology and International Relations from Boston College and an MPH in Epidemiology of Microbial Diseases and Global Health from Yale University.
Prior to her roles with PIH, Ms. Naughton managed clinical trials research at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, and worked in grant writing at the Royal College of Surgeons in Dublin, Ireland. At Yale as a Downs International Health Fellow, she designed, implemented, and analyzed a qualitative research study of healthcare workers who treated HIV-positive pregnant women in Pretoria, South Africa, and also served as a Research Assistant at the Yale Global Health Leadership Institute. She has also worked at the Pediatrics AIDS Clinic at Children’s Hospital Boston, and managed a pilot breast cancer clinical trial in Galway, Ireland.
