Jeanne Coffin-Schmitt, MSc

One Health Fellow

Jeanne Coffin-Schmitt is a One Health Fellow and Research Associate at Tufts University. She holds a BA in Biology and a MSc in Conservation Medicine, and is a certified Participatory Epidemiology practitioner. As One Health Fellow, Jeanne works full time with UGHE. She offers research and capacity building expertise in One Health, participatory methodologies, and environmental science as well as in advocacy and community building.

Jeanne’s past experience includes working in global health advocacy with RESULTS and PIH Engage; science communication in ecosystem services and landscape ecology with the Eastern Forest Environmental Threats Assessment Center at the USDA Forest Service in Asheville, NC, USA; research on zoonotic disease in conservation areas in western Uganda; and two years as an environmental education volunteer with Peace Corps Morocco.
