Project Manager, Health Sciences Education
Patrick Brien joined the UGHE team in early 2017 to project manage the implementation of the University’s health sciences education. Mr. Brien brings over 12 years of leadership and project management experience, which includes three combat deployments with the US Army and director/manager-level leadership positions in the private and public sectors.
Prior to joining UGHE, Mr. Brien served as a Senior Project Manager at Boston Medical Center (BMC) where he helped to build administrative and operational capacity within the hospital’s physician organization, working closely with the Boston University School of Medicine. Before joining BMC, he served in senior leadership positions with Spartan Race, Inc., an industry-leading start-up company, where he led operational process improvement and strategic initiative implementation. Mr. Brien began his career in the US Army, spending nearly a decade serving in various leadership roles in the United States and Afghanistan. He holds a BA in Political Science from the University of Rochester.
