Peter Drobac, MD, MPH
Dr. Drobac is an internist, pediatrician and infectious disease specialist with over ten years of experience in global health delivery. From 2009 to 2014, Dr. Drobac was the Executive Director of Partners In Health (PIH) in Rwanda, and he currently is an Associate Physician at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and Instructor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School. As Executive Director of PIH in Rwanda, Dr. Drobac worked closely with the Government of Rwanda to provide high quality health care and social services in three rural districts, and to drive health system innovations to scale. An expert in the design and implementation of comprehensive health systems in resource-limited settings, Dr. Drobac co-leads a large health systems research program in Rwanda, the Population Health Implementation and Training Partnership. In 2011, Dr. Drobac was appointed Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Rwanda Biomedical Center, the implementation agency of Rwanda’s national health sector. Dr. Drobac continues to practice in Boston through the Division of Global Health Equity at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and teaches global health and social medicine at Harvard Medical School.
