Espérance Mutoniwase

Research Associate to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Administrative and Financial Affairs

Espérance Mutoniwase joined UGHE in January 2021 as a Research Associate to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Administrative and Financial Affairs. Espérance is a Rwandan and social impact enthusiast. She graduated from the University of Chicago in 2019, where she majored in Philosophy and fulfilled pre-medical requirements. During the past three years, Espérance has worked as a Project and Research Assistant for both the University of Chicago’s MacLean Center for Clinical Medical Ethics and the African Federation for Emergency Medicine (AFEM). Her most recent role was at the African Leadership University School of Business (ALUSB) as an Admissions Associate for ALUSB Master of Management program.

Espérance’s previous work experiences helped her develop essential program management and research skills, and strengthened her commitment to collaborative efforts aimed at local and global health equity interventions. Her research interests include healthcare ethics, global health policy, global health economics, and health systems strenghtening.
