MBBS Teaching and Learning Coordinator, GHC 2019-2020
Darlene Ineza joined the UGHE team in July 2019 as the MBBS Teaching and Learning Coordinator through the Global Health Corps Fellowship. She graduated from Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry. During her undergraduate career, Ms. Ineza spent a semester learning about the intersections of medicine and the socio-cultural dimensions of populations at King’s College London. Most recently, she completed an independent study on the barriers to healthcare access faced by Maine immigrants. Ms. Ineza is passionate about fostering home-grown solutions to health access issues while continuously learning in the process. In Rwanda, she interned at Partners In Health and Young Women’s Christian Association with a focus on community health, specifically sexual and reproductive health and malaria prevention campaigns. In her free time, Darlene enjoys exploring new cities, swimming and listening to music.
