Eric Remera, MSc

Eric Remera is a trained senior biostatistician specializing in HIV programming. He holds a master’s degree in Clinical Epidemiology from the University of Rwanda and will soon start a Doctor of Philosophy in Epidemiology at the Basel Institute of Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics and Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute, University of Basel, Switzerland.

Currently, Mr. Remera serves as Director of HIV Surveillance and Research at the Institute of HIV Disease Prevention and Control, Rwanda Biomedical Center and has experience in the programmatic design and delivery of prevention, care, treatment, and support service delivery for HIV, monitoring and evaluation, and observational and clinical research.

Mr. Remera has strong experience in the development and implementation of health management information systems. As a researcher, he has been leading the development and implementation of study protocols, conducting data analyses, and the scientific communication of study findings. He has co-authored more than 20 peer-reviewed scientific publications and has presented research findings at national and international scientific conferences.
