Ezechiel Bizimana

Laboratory Assistant, Division of Basic Medical Sciences

Ezechiel Bizimana is a Laboratory Assistant in the Division of Basic Medical Sciences at the University of Global Health Equity. In his role, he supports the Head of Basic Sciences laboratory and other faculty in the Division to schedule and perform Basic Medical science laboratory practicals. He also ensures safe laboratory practice, routine maintenance of equipment and proper use and storage of all consumables in science laboratory.

Mr. Bizimana holds a bachelor degree (Honors) in Biomedical Laboratory Sciences and a Postgraduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education from the University of Rwanda. He is a registered member of Rwanda Allied Health Professions Council (RAHPC). Mr. Bizimana joins UGHE with extensive experience in Medical laboratory where he was involved in diagnostics and training for the past 8 years. Prior to joining UGHE, he served in different roles as a focal point for Tuberculosis diagnosis at Bushenge district hospital. In addition, he was the laboratory technologist and was later promoted to Laboratory manager at the same hospital. Before joining UGHE, Mr. Bizimana was a tutorial assistant and laboratory manager at Kibogora Polytechnic University, where he used to organize and conduct laboratory practical sessions for students.
