Marie Paul Uwase

Senior Executive Assistant to the Vice Chancellor

Marie Uwase holds a Bachelor of Art honors degree in Politics and International Relations from the University of Kent, England. While at University of Kent, Ms. Uwase served as the students’ ambassador for international students. After graduating in 2015, Ms. Uwase moved back to Rwanda and volunteered at Esperance Education Institute under its ‘p31’ program, which focused on teaching marginalized women basic skills to enhance their living standards.

She later joined World Relief as the Executive Assistant to the Country Director; a role she held for two and a half years. In this capacity, she was exposed to various development tracks including the importance of education, health, and women’s empowerment in global development.

Ms. Uwase is passionate about women’s empowerment, access to education, and social justice.
