Olivia Clarke, MSc

Olivia Clarke holds a Masters in International Development, Conflict and Security from the University of Birmingham, UK. Having lived in Rwanda since 2013, Ms. Clarke has worked in a variety of capacities prior to joining the UGHE team, including academic administration as Head of Department at Acorns International School and project management at Rwanda Village Concept Project. She has managed education and public health projects in Uganda and Malawi, giving her an interest in how education and health are linked. Following on from this, Ms. Clarke participated in research projects exploring the impact of health education on NCD management and sexual and reproductive health in Rwanda.

In her spare time, Olivia consults for several NGOs, including Alliance for Healthy Communities and Generation Rise, and she is particularly interested in women’s rights and empowerment, education and sexual and reproductive health.
