Objectives of the Postgraduate Certificate Program
A foundational program designed for educators, clinical supervisors, and health professionals who wish to formalize and strengthen their educational practice. This program is designed to develop the basic educational capabilities of healthcare educators by providing them with a foundation in health professions education, instructional design, assessment methods, curriculum development, and equity in HPE. Graduates of this level are equipped with the necessary skills to undertake educational roles in their respective health professions. Hence, they can contribute to teaching and assessment but are not yet prepared to lead educational programs.
Beneficiaries
As a foundation program, the Postgraduate Certificate in HPE benefits a diverse group of professionals involved in teaching, training, or mentoring within the healthcare sector. These professionals include healthcare educators, clinicians and practitioners, educational administrators, curriculum developers, quality assurance experts, and healthcare trainers and mentors.
