The Judy Kahrl Award is awarded to the highest performing student in the Gender, Sexual and Reproductive Health track under the Master of Global Health Delivery Program. Dr. Judy Kahrl is a well-known figure and a lifelong advocate for reproductive rights and maternal health, as evidenced by her support for SRH programs and her founding of the Grandmothers for Reproductive Rights organization. Her legacy in supporting SRH programs continues through her son, Ben Kahrl, who has supported the Executive Education program on Maternal and Child Health Program leadership, run by the Centre for Gender Equity, for participants from 4 African countries. UGHE confers this award of Excellence in GSRH in recognition of her service to equity and sexual and reproductive health.
