Six UGHE Alumni Appointed to Various Key Roles in the Rwanda Ministry of Health

UGHE is proud to have six of our alumni recently appointed to crucial positions within the Rwanda Ministry of Health as officially announced on January 25th by the Office of the Prime Minister of Rwanda.  

 

Nicole Jabo, an alumna from the Master of Science in Global Health Delivery -MGHD’19 and former Advisor to the Ministry of Health of Rwanda, has been appointed as the Partnerships and Grants Writing Analyst.  

 

 

Alongside her, Dr. Fernand Rwamwejo, an alumnus of MGHD’21, Health Management Option, also assumes the role of Fellowship Program Analyst. 

 

 

 

Dr. Madeleine Byukusenge, who graduated from the MGHD’22 with a focus on Gender Sexual and Reproductive Health – GSRH has been appointed as the Residency Program Analyst.  

 

 

 

 

Dr. Claude Nsabimana, MGHD’23 graduate, with a concentration in GSRH, takes on the role of Curriculum and Standards Analyst.

 

Additionally, Dr. Alice Nsengiyumva and Viviane Umuhire Niyonkuru, both from MGHD’23, have been appointed as Skills and Career Path Analysts. 

These accomplished alumni serve as public ambassadors for UGHE’s global health equity mission, embodying the institution’s commitment to fostering leaders capable of driving meaningful impact in health systems. Their roles underscore UGHE’s emphasis on improving healthcare systems worldwide. 

UGHE’s diverse alumni network, spanning five continents, continues to expand, leaving a lasting impact on the well-being of vulnerable populations. The UGHE community eagerly anticipates the next phase of growth, with current students benefitting from the promise of quality education and a commitment to equity.
