Among UGHE’s plans is to expand and develop global partnerships by creating opportunities for academic and programmatic collaboration and research engagement. To this end, UGHE has continued to build its networks through its dynamic webinar series, virtual workshops, and other live events. UGHE also has a strong online presence with more than 30,000 followers across UGHE Social Channels including Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube. There are 20,000 Subscribers to UGHE Newsletters as well. Given the range of communication channels, UGHE plans to inform research on global health, and maintain a strong communication with research partners, stakeholders.

This year, University of Global Health Equity’s Annual Research Day for 2024 falls on the 4th and 5th April 2024, under the theme “Reimagine Global Health Research“.

This research day aims to explore strategies for achieving equitable access to healthcare, showcase transformative health technologies, highlight impactful community-driven interventions and global health education, address the ethics of public health engagement, and examine global health policies and governance structures. The events will be hybrid, offering both in-person and online participation options. 

Call for Abstracts Submission

UGHE invites partners, researchers, practitioners, and experts from around the world to submit abstracts for the 2024 Research Day. Abstracts from all areas within global health, including health management, one health, global surgery, gender and social justice focus, community-based practice, health diplomacy, basic medical science, and clinical care impacting global health, are encouraged.  

Submission Guidelines 

• Submit your abstract entry as an editable Word Document named Your Name_Abstract_GHRD to igher@157.245.250.106.
• Students are invited to join the competition categories: full presentation, poster, and research proposal pitch.   
• Selected candidates will be informed by 25th March 2024
• Final presentations in PowerPoint format must be submitted by 1st April 2024.
• Multiple abstract submissions are allowed, but one person cannot present more than two presentations at the event. 
• World limit: max 300; Format: Clearly state objectives, methods, results, and conclusions; Keywords: Provide up to five keywords relevant to your abstract.
• All participants will be able to participate online or in person.
