Nicaise Nsabimana, MD
Adjunct Assistant professor, division of clinical medicine at UGHE
Dr. Nicaise currently works as a Medical oncologist with Partners In Health Rwanda, posted at the Butaro Cancer Center of Excellence (BCCOE). I started my work at BCCOE in November 2018 after completing medical oncology fellowship in France(Guadeloupe). Prior to my fellowship, I was a junior lecturer at Gitwe University in Rwanda, while serving simultaneously as a physician and the head of internal medicine department.
Nicaise Nsabimana holds MD, MMed from respectively, ‘’Université du Burundi, faculté de médicine’’, University of Rwanda, College of Medicine and health sciences.
Nicaise Nsabimana has been trained in gastroenterology exploration: upper GI endoscopy and Lower GI colonoscopy with a certificate. Post-school training in diabetes mellitus and HIV, Clinical trial, COVID 19 with certificate. Short training in Senegal for doping control
He has been chief of health center in Somalia where he was in charge of clinical care provider of patients in Frame work of UN peace keeping.
Nicaise Nsabimana is the winner of the 2020, International Development and Education Award (IDEA) and a member of the American society of clinical Oncology, a member of the African Cancer Coalition, Rwanda College of Physicians.
He has a strong interest in conducting clinical and epidemiologic research and, he is a PI and co-PI of many studies already published and ongoing.
Nicaise Nsabimana’s hobbies are reading and playing Basketball.
