Emmanuel Ngwakongnwi, MPH, PhD, is an Epidemiologist, Assistant Professor of Global Health and Head of Research & Training at the Institute of Global Health Equity Research (IGHER), University of Global Health Equity (UGHE). His research focuses on data structure, quality and analysis of large databases to support health policy and population health measurement. He is co-chair of a mathematical modelling training workshop, a Harvard/UGHE modeling training course to train policy makers and researchers in Africa to use mathematical models to inform policy and programs.  His teaching interests include Epidemiology & Biostatistics, Research Methods, Social Determinants of Health. His work has been supported by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIRH), Qatar National Research Fund (QNRF), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and prevention, as well as the European Union.
