Gloria Igihozo, MSc
Lecturer, Health Management and Global Health Delivery
Gloria Igihozo is a Lecturer in the Institute of Global Health at the University of Global Health Equity. Here, she is involved in teaching, student support and mentorship, and curriculum design, for both in-person and online learning. She also conducts and/or supports different research projects. Prior to joining the MGHD department, Igihozo was working at UGHE’s Center for One Health as a One Health Coordinator, where she was responsible for conducting a research project exploring Rwanda’s One Health governance system and how it was integrated in the country’s response to the Covid-19 pandemic. She also supported the center in developing and running a One Health short course.
Igihozo holds a master’s degree in Global Health Delivery from the University of Global Health Equity and a Bachelor’s in Biochemistry from Messiah University. She is passionate about research and hopes to leverage its powerful story-telling abilities to amplify the voices of impoverished and marginalized communities and highlight their experiences in healthcare systems across the globe.
