Leila Dusabe

Research Assistant, Center for One Health

Leila Dusabe is the Research Assistant for the Center for One Health. She holds a Master’s of Science in Global Health Delivery, from the University of Global Health Equity and a Bachelor of Science in Public Health from Mount Kenya University. Leila has over 3 years of experience in the public health sector. Prior to joining the Center for One Health, she worked for the Center for Gender Equity at the University of Global Health Equity as an Intern. In this capacity, she supported different activities for the Gender and Diversity inclusion audit that was carried out by the center.She also supported the university with the Women Leaders in Global Health conference (WLGH19) as the Lead volunteer, where she assisted in the coordination and implementation of the conference logistics. She has also worked as a program manager for the Africa’s Mental Health Matters conference that took place virtually in 2020. Previously, Leila worked with different organisations in the health sector such as Partners in Health-Rwanda, where she was involved in the organisation’s research department. At AIDS Healthcare Foundation, she supported the coordination and supervision of different activities within the prevention and testing department. She also worked at the Ministry of Health-Rwanda in the Single Project Implementation Unit (SPIU) where she assisted the Program Coordinator on different projects held by the Unit.
