Rehabilitation for all through Digital Innovation and new Competencies (RADIC) Project
The project Rehabilitation for all through Digital Innovation and new Competencies (RADIC) was launched in Kigali, culminating with a (May 3) visit to UGHE Butaro campus.
RADIC is an EU funded project with the overall objective of increasing competencies of future multidisciplinary rehabilitation workforce in digital era. The project will increase the availability and access to rehabilitation services through new and innovative use of digital rehabilitation. The project is a collaboration between JAMKS Finland and several Universities in Africa including Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT), Moi University (MU), Kenya, University of Rwanda (UR), The Kilimanjaro Christian Medical College, Tanzania, The State University of Zanzibar, Zanzibar, Tanzania, Hochschule Fur Gesundheit (HS Gesundheit), Germany and the University of Global Health Equity Ltd (UGHE), Rwanda.
UGHE team members include Dr. Emmanuel Ngwakongnwi (Lead researcher), Dr. Matt Ames (Researcher), Mr. Clement Muhire (IT Advisor) and Dean Daniel Seifu as the Advisor Committee member to RADIC. As part of the launch, team members were led to a campus tour by UGHE logistics department prior to their first workshop to discuss project activities and way forward.
