Alice Muhoza Mutoni

Safeguarding Manager, Human Resources Department

Prior to joining UGHE, Ms Alice Muhoza Mutoni served as the Child Protection and National Safeguarding Lead at World Vision International Rwanda, where she developed the safeguarding policy and procedures and built staff and affiliates capacity, to help them understand their safeguarding roles and different layers to safeguarding.

Alice has an extensive experience in Safeguarding, social and child protection programming. She also has a good understanding of gender and social inclusion, access to justice, legal aid, women, youth and children’s rights.

She is passionate about safeguarding because it is the fabric of humanity, to respect and protect others from harm, whether it is in our personal lives, in institutions where we work and, in the community where we serve.

Alice holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law obtained from Kigali Independent University and is currently pursuing her Master of Gender and Development Studies at the University of Rwanda.
