Professor Anil Krishna, Ph.D, is the Director of the Centre for Leadership in Global Health Equity at the University of Global Health Equity (UGHE). He is a Professor of Global Health and has served as Professor and Dean of School of Public Health, SRM University in India. Before joining UGHE he worked with HelpAge International leading the public health research and interventions on noncommunicable diseases in Southeast Asia.  He has vast experience in public health research, academic leadership, and governance and served as full professor faculty positions and adjunct professor at universities across the globe. He has contributed immensely to health systems strengthening in various countries by engaging policy development and development of models that have impacted thousands of lives especially in primary health care settings. His research experiences include implementation science in primary health care settings focuses on infectious diseases and noncommunicable disease prevention and management. He also led polio eradication initiatives and national family planning programs in India in addition to provide technical leadership in conducting management development programs in public health in emergencies, behaviour change communication, health policy development and results-based management in Asia. Professor Anil Krishna was invited as presenter in many international conferences, speaker in different fora, and has been mentoring public health professionals in many countries in the areas of implementation science, and results-based management. He has over 40 publications in the broad area of public health.  His primary areas of interest and expertise lie in the field of health systems policy and development, developing primary health care models on prevention and management of noncommunicable diseases and implementation science.
