On January 25, 2019, UGHE inaugurated its Butaro, Rwanda residential campus with a ceremonial Ribbon Cutting. The opening was attended by over 300 guests and dignitaries including His Excellency, President Paul Kagame, local and national government officials, leadership from Partners In Health and Inshuti Mu Buzima, UGHE staff, students, and alumni, thought partners from leading academic institutions, and donors and champions of the University.
